BW Energy Storage Systems will invest about SEK 1bn in Ingrid Capacity. This investment will be used to accelerate Ingrid Capacity’s growth trajectory and to execute on 400MW of energy storage, in a strategic partnership with BW ESS.

Ingrid Capacity, a Swedish company, has been an active player within the energy storage space in the Nordics since its foundation. BW Energy Storage Systems (BW ESS) has invested about SEK 1bn in Ingrid Capacity to accelerate its growth and execute on a 400MW energy storage project in a strategic partnership.
What is swegrids?
SweGRIDS is the Swedish Centre for Smart Grids and Energy Storage. Started in December 2011, and completed in June 2022, it was a partnership of academia, industry and public utilities, with major funding from the Swedish Energy Agency and from corporate partners that include major manufacturers and utilities.
